Linn

We've had four days of rain here so the water theme for this week is particularly appropriate here.

Linn

Playing with the new lens and some food coloring.  It made some pretty cool designs in the water.

The kids were on spring break this week and I was off on Friday.  I went with a friend and her girls to an indoor water park in French Lick, IN.  The girls and Jacob had a great time.  Tyler was not such a big fan.

gotta pee!

I have to pee....I just don't think I'll be using that port-a-potty! My question...what is REALLY holding that in place?????? (that is where it was sitting before the high water!)

aqueduct

The Conococheague Aqueduct (on the C&O Canal) during this bout of high water. The insert on the left is what it looks like in normal conditions.

canal at Harpers Ferry

A major flood is emminent they say. This is on the canal down across from Harpers Ferry, WV. There is NEVER water in the canal at this area...as you can see there is water in the canal (the right side of the picture) and the river on the left side was just churning and rushing by. The river at this point is USUALLY about 20 feet lower than the towpath (at least). When I took this picture the river was actually only about a foot lower than the towpath. And the rain has continued all day and the snow continues to in the mountains upriver!
