Overgrowth, then a cold summer, followed by weeds have changed our back yard. My sister helped me weed. Now all we have to do is hide our neighbors termite eaten shed.

We used scrap lumber to make a raised garden that sits mostly in the shade. Last year's garden got too much sun. We're trying again. We also let the kids paint it purple, and we'll let them paint designs on it later.

I love this.... 1. Men at work!!
2. Weather is warm enough to lay new turf
3. Its taken nearly 2 yrs for my garden to be ready for this,it was a bare tip full of rubble and brick ends when I moved in.
4. I was sitting drinking tea just watching ..... good day all round :)

My geraniums are healthier this winter than they were during the summer! (Sorry for the boring pics.)

I keep my home at 58 degrees at night and at 60 - 63 degrees during the day. One of the pain mends I take keeps my inner furnace running high. It's not like hot flashes. I simply rarely get cold. Personally, I love this side effect - and look at my houseplants! This poinsettia is as fresh as the day I bought it in November.

Linn *Sixty-Seven*

We have a cemetary about a block away from our home.  It's well kept and has some really nice trees in it.  I wanted to capture the sun through one of the trees.

These took my eye for a moment then I pondered at the price,
yes they are pretty but in the end even an ornamental cabbage is still a cabbage whatever colour it is
......so I bought a Skimmia, top left hand corner,it will grow, give colour and I wont feel the urge to eat it!!
