Mandraki Harbour,Rhodes Town....these columns are where the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the original 7 wonders of the world is supposed to have stood, one foot on each pillar. It would have been as high as the Statue of Liberty.

At the Boonsboro Parade, we went with friends. Yes, two parades in one weekend...and really hot and sunny days....I'm burned to a crisp! Lets see....Boonsboro's claim to fame, would have to be that Nora Roberts (author) lives there.

Sharpsburg Memorial Day parade.....the oldest and longest running memorial day parade in the country. And of course no parade is complete without the Shriners.

I forgot to take a picture for today. So here’s one from my last trip.

This picture is of a tea café which has tea-pots as its theme of décor. It had an amazing collection of hundreds of antique tea pots.

We ( my parents and I ) went for a wonderful hill railway journey today. It is on the Western Hills section of India and at an elevation of around 800m. It’s one of those heritage railways running on narrow gauge lines. It crossed hills after hills amidst lush green forests. It was so much fun.
