Gotta loved home-canned foods. And I'm happy to announce that my stores from last years garden are holding out very well. Although I am working on my last jar of icicle pickles....boo hooo!
Icicle pickles are a sweet pickle.....they take FOREVER to make. Literally days upon days. I want to say 11 days...or is it 14 days.
Alas, none are on the shelf, the last jar is in the fridge. There are however cinnamon pickles on the shelf. (they only take 4-5 days)...but they are like candy!
I've never even heard of cinnamon pickles, but I sure would like to try them! The only thing I ever do with my cucumbers is make some for the freezer. Those are soooo good.

OOoh, what an awesome talent that is! One I do not possess. :)
I used to help my grandmother do her canning and freezing. I don't have that kind of patience as an adult. Color me impressed.
I love home canned goods, but am too lazy to do it myself, other than the occasional salsa and strawberry jam.
You must be so patient...err what are icicle pickles are they on the pic?
