Happy New Year!
I've been absent from Serendipity because my mother continues to have a veryveryvery difficult transition. As you know, it's not that I don't have the time - we all have 24 hours - but I've *checked out* with other pastimes when not worrying or doting on her. I have no regrets or resentments that she's here and not well - just the opposite, but her arrival has added enormous chaos to our original plans. A fulltime caregiver has been hired. I knew at once I couldn't do it because of my own fragile health. Everything will be fine I tell myself...

Merci, Leslie. I just wish I could do more for her on so many levels... like wave a wand and heal all her boo-boos.
