Copyright was too heavy for me to carry upstairs to where Becky was staying, so I relocated Charlie McCarthy to her guest room lest she got lonely. Heh.

True story: Each night I took him down and put him under the table where I couldn't see him.

Alas, Chuckie has ruined it for sweet Charlie. Once when my home was rented for Parents' Weekend, the daughter stayed in the guest room. When she opened the closet where I store Charlie she was all scared and screamy. The father ended up taking Charlie along to all the parties that weekend, which was very funny. They sent me a pic with the father holding him at a party. My youngest son, at age 7, aspired to become a famous ventriloquist. He's decided to go to law school. Hmmm. Same thing, right? LOL.

CC: OMIGOD. I nearly fell off my chair, which you know wouldn't be that unusual.

Thanks, MF! I hope we get to meet someday and you can reassess.

CC. I totally would have had to remove this thing from the room. It creaps me out just looking at it here. LOL.

I had a Charlie McCarthy doll just like that and he would freak me out so bad. I swear he drank water, because when I was 7, I poured water down his mouth and it never appeared anywhere on him. Just too freaky for me!

That's funny, Carol. Hmmm, don't think I'll be trying it, though. :)
