drying

My husand got me yellow roses last week. THey were gorgeous. Now I am allowing them to naturally dry out. They will go in my big bowl of dried rose budes and rose petals. (yes, I have just about every rose that my husband has ever given me).

I love this rose. I do the same thing. I use just a couple touches of rose scented oil and make potpourri out of my roses.

Excuse me while I vomit quietly in the corner. JUST KIDDING!!! I think it's very sweet. I'm just a bitter old woman right now. :-) One of my co-workers and her husband just went on a weekend trip celebrating the 40th anniversary of their first date. GAH. I'm surrounded.

Sorry courteous....I'll try not to be sappy anytime soon to allow you to recover. LOL

As for drying. I usuallyleave them in the vase while they dry. They will wilt and then dry...there is water in the vase. When they are brittle I pull off the buds and voila..d.ried flowers. I sometimes will bundle a dozen long stemed roses upside down and dry them that way.

Thats so sweet , MaryFran. I used to do the same with the Ex including all the wrappers of gifts or chocolates or candies he gave me. I guess I still have them somewhere.
