Time to share the fire..... this is what happened to my guys business while we were on holiday last September.It was a motor repair garage,his " business partner" was welding a car and a spark caught alight,20 mins later this is what was left...no one was hurt fortunately. The place has still not been rebuilt but the plans have finally been submitted.
The insurance process has been tedious and demoralising and he has to odd job to survive the waiting.Best bit... the "business partner" took off after the fire to who knows where,he had said the money in the office had been burnt too,we now have a statement from a fireman who attended that it was recovered and handed over ....lesson learnt!.... he will be solo in the new garage lol

Double ouch! Why some people feel entitled is beyond me....makes you wonder about the whole thing....was it a set up?
I bet you both will be glad when it's all rebuilt and back in business.
Wow.....sorry to hear that you had to go through this awful experience. Good luck with the rebuilding...and you are right...SOLO in a business is the way to go!!!
How horrible. I hope the rebuilding goes quickly and under budget.
Thanks for the good wishes ladies,it wasn't a good time but things are moving now so we are hopeful again...was it a set up? maybe but we "choose" not to think so as the guy was also a friend and the thought it was would make it all worse.... so its onward and upward for 2010
