One of our favorite Christmas pieces. There's something about the Santa image, I think. We've always been clear to our girls regarding the truth about Santa Claus (although, not always successfully, which is perhaps a testament to both social influence and the power of this image). Nevertheless, we keep him around to fulfill story and decorative duties. He looks good on a Coke can, too.

I think the whole "Santa" and "St. Nick" thing is more a feeling, a spirit, a mood of peace and love during this season. I look at Santa more as a symbol of happy wishes and good will towards everyone.
